なぜ、これほどまで日本の写真集は世界を魅了しているのか?

During the 1960s and '70s in Japan, the photobook--through a combination of excellence in design, printing, and materials--overtook prints as a popular mode of artistic dissemination. This process has expanded to an extent where any discussion of Japanese photography now has to include the book work. 金子隆一

写真史研究者、写真集コレクター。1990年より東京都写真美術館専門調査員。武蔵野美術大学、東京綜合写真専門学校非常勤講師。共編著に『日本近代写真の成立』、『定本　木村伊兵衛』、『植田正治私の写真作法』、『インディペンデント・フォトグラファーズ・イン・ジャパン　1976-83』、 『The History of Japanese Photography』他、多数。戦前の希少な写真集の復刻版シリーズ『日本写真史の至宝』を監修。各美術館での展覧会キュレーションも多数手がけている。
